Goulbourn Historical Society and Museum

The Goulbourn Historical Society and Museum is a registered charitable organization committed to preserving and promoting the history of the Goulbourn community. The Museum, located at the intersection of Flewellyn and Huntley Roads (Stanley Corners), Stittsville is housed in two co-located, but separate, former municipal buildings: the 1872 Township Hall where artefacts are displayed for viewing, meetings are held, and presentations are given, and the 1961 Clerk's Building which houses the History Centre. Documents, photographs, and other material  is available at the History Centre for researchers interested in genealogy  or local history.

Museum exhibits chronicle 19th and 20th century community life with an emphasis on the military, rural schools and rural living. The Historical Society holds monthly meetings at the Museum which are advertised in the local media. Most meetings feature a guest speaker, and the public is most welcome to attend.

Contact the Museum for more information about the Museum's programs and services, the Goulbourn Museum Committee and the Goulbourn Historical Society Board of Directors.
