Candidates from all of the local contested school boards (English and French) were invited, however two responded by saying they were no longer actively campaigning, and others were affected by the tornadoes that hit the Ottawa region recently. In attendance were Lynn Scott and Jon Flemming, both vying for a position on the Ottawa Carleton District School Board.
