Field Notes From Stittsville - Mural Launch Party

Join us for our mural launch party to celebrate "Field Notes From Stittsville". The Stittsville Village Association, in partnership with Birdgirl Arts and Pretty Pots, were awarded funding from the City of Ottawa for The Paint It Up! Mural project. We have worked with over 25 youth volunteers over the past four months to engage with the community, brainstorm, and learn painting and mural techniques. This month we have worked evenings and weekends on our beautiful mural and we are delighted to share and celebrate with our community. 10:00 am - meet at Birdgirl Art studio for short speeches from Councillor Glen Gower, Artist Sasha Jimenez French, and VP of SVA Erin Zuber 10:15 am - head over to mural site at Pretty Pots for land acknowledgement and group photo (drone) 10:30 am - head back to the art studio - light refreshments provided. Talk to youth volunteers about their experiences with the project, artist Sasha and the Stittsville Village Association! 10:45 -11:00 am - wrap up
