Music and Movies in the Park

About This Event

We invite you to bring your lawnchairs, picnic blankets and smiles August 8th for our second annual Music & Movies in the Park. The event will open at 5pm, at Village Square Park with Ottawa band The Jivewires. Formed in 1989, The Jivewires are a Canadian jump blues band inspired by the early R&B groups from the post war period who created a musical style that incorporates social satire and jazz-blues improvisations. We expect the energy to be high and have complimented those vibes with the feature Mamma Mia and locally produced short film Hold and Secure. The event is open to the public and is made possible through the gracious support of our sponsors Mattamy Homes, Capital Services Ottawa and the Ottawa Music Federation
